Minerva, formelly know as Explorer II, is a exploration ship that can accommodate up to 300 guests. Launched in 1996, it has been likened to a country-house hotel and brings a rare touch of comfortable, informal refinement to Antarctica travel.
Explorer II is well equipped to handle the open-water cruising and icy channels of Antarctic seas. Fine burnished woods, gleaming brass and handsome works of original art give her a warm and traditional feel.
Staterooms and suites are comfortable and well designed. They are equipped with a binoculars. All cabins have a private bathroom with shower, individual climate control, two music channels, a wall-mounted hairdryer. Standard cabins feature two twin beds. Suites have queen beds and include a small refrigerator and TV with VCR.
